Built by a Recruiter for Job Seekers

After years in talent acquisition watching qualified candidates get filtered out before a recruiter ever saw their resume, I built CopySocial to level the playing field.

The Problem Nobody Talks About

I spent years in talent acquisition reviewing thousands of resumes. I worked with companies hiring across tech, finance and consulting. And the same thing kept happening: genuinely qualified people were not making it past the first round. Not because they lacked the skills. Because their resume was invisible to the software that screened it first.

Most candidates had no idea an Applicant Tracking System had already rejected them. They spent days writing the perfect resume, sent it out and heard nothing back. They assumed they were not good enough. Most of the time they were more than good enough. The software just could not read their file.

The reality: 97% of Fortune 500 companies use ATS software to filter resumes before any human sees them. A resume that looks great as a PDF can be completely unreadable to ATS if it uses columns, tables, text boxes or unusual fonts. The candidate never finds out why they were rejected.

I have seen this pattern across every market. Candidates in India applying to global tech companies. Professionals in the UAE moving between industries. Fresh graduates in Nigeria competing for international remote roles. Career changers in the UK trying to pivot into new sectors. The ATS problem is universal. The knowledge about how to fix it is not.

📄
Unreadable Formatting
Creative resume designs with columns and graphics that look impressive to humans are completely invisible to ATS software.
🔑
Missing Keywords
ATS systems match your resume against job descriptions. Without the right keywords a perfect resume scores zero.
📊
No Measurable Impact
Resumes without numbers score lower. "Managed a team" loses to "Managed a team of 12 and increased output by 40%."
🌍
Regional Blind Spots
Resume standards differ by country. What works in India may not work for a UAE employer. Most tools ignore this completely.

Why I Built CopySocial

I built CopySocial because good candidates deserve a fair shot. Not just candidates with access to expensive resume writing services or career coaches but every job seeker in every market.

The information about how ATS works is not hidden. Companies like Workday, Taleo and Greenhouse publish documentation. Recruiters know this. Hiring managers know this. The candidates applying do not. That gap felt fixable.

So I started with the most common problem: a free ATS resume checker that tells you your score out of 100 and shows you exactly what to fix. No subscription. No credit card. No premium tier required to see your results. Just upload and find out.

75%Resumes rejected by ATS before a human sees them
250+Average applications per corporate job posting worldwide
6 secAverage time a recruiter spends on each resume they do read

The goal was never to build a complex SaaS platform. It was to give every job seeker the same information that experienced recruiters already have. Simple, free and honest about what it can and cannot do.

What We Are Building

CopySocial started with a free ATS Resume Checker and LinkedIn Post Copier. Here is the full roadmap:

Who Is Behind CopySocial

My name is Monesh Kumar. I am a talent acquisition professional and builder based in Bangalore with over a decade of experience in recruiting across IBM and the broader tech and startup ecosystem in India.

I have reviewed thousands of resumes. I have seen what gets candidates shortlisted and what gets them filtered out. I have also built products in the Web3 space and understand what it takes to ship tools that people actually find useful.

CopySocial is my attempt to take everything I know about hiring and put it on the side of the candidate. Every feature starts with one question: does this give the job seeker a genuine advantage?
